And nothing remained on the eagle’s body except the three heads that were at rest and six little wings: For the three heads that were at rest, see 2Esdras 11.4. Originally the eagle had eight little wings, but now only six remained (see verses 3, 11, and 22). An alternative model for this verse is:
• Nothing was left on the eagle’s body except the three relaxed heads and six of the little wings.
