Contemporary English Version introduces the quotation in this verse with “The messengers said,” which other languages may find helpful.

Let there be no fighting between me and you: Fighting is better than Good News Bible‘s “quarrel.” The pronoun you is plural in Greek; it refers to Judas and his brothers. An alternative model for this clause is “Let’s not get into a fight” (Contemporary English Version) or “Let’s not fight each other.”

I shall come with a few men to see you face to face in peace: Again the pronoun you is plural. The proposed meeting was not exactly “friendly,” as Good News Bible has it. It was simply “under a flag of truce” in modern idiom. They would talk with an understanding that no one would take hostile action. We may say “I want to talk with you personally. I am coming [or, Let me come] to you peacefully, with just a few men.”
