Do not give yourself to a woman so that she gains mastery over your strength: This means that a man should not allow himself to be dominated by a woman. In fact, “Do not allow yourself to be dominated by a woman” or “Do not allow a woman to dominate you” would be a good model for the verse. Good News Translation is likewise short and to the point, but “surrender your dignity” is not quite the idea here. We may also use a conditional clause; for example, “If you let a woman dominate you, she will completely control you.”
