Listen to me, and I will instruct you; pay attention to me, and I will tell you more: Uriel’s words are repetitious to lend a solemn air to his words. If such repetition does not serve this function in the translator’s language, it may be removed. Good News Bible skillfully eliminates the repetition without sacrificing any meaning. Contemporary English Version also removes it, saying “Listen carefully, and I will tell you more things.”
