And I looked, and behold, the two that remained were planning between themselves to reign together: For And I looked, and behold, see 2Esdras 11.2. Good News Bible provides a good model for this verse. Another possible one is:

• Then I saw that the two remaining small wings were plotting to seize power for themselves.
