So Antiochus encamped against Dor, and with him were a hundred and twenty thousand warriors and eight thousand cavalry: The next verse mentions that Antiochus and his soldiers surrounded Dor by Antiochus, so this verse may be rendered simply “Antiochus led a hundred twenty thousand [or, 120,000] soldiers and eight thousand [or, 8,000] cavalry to the city of Dor” (similarly Contemporary English Version).
