Translation commentary on 1 Chronicles 1:30

The name Hadad also occurs in the parallel account in Gen 25.15, but some Hebrew manuscripts read “Hadar” because of the commonly confused letters in Hebrew for “d” and “r.”

The Masoretic Text reads Tema. This name occurs five times in the Old Testament. There was a city by this name in northern Arabia (Job 6.19; Isa 21.14; Jer 25.23). It was a major oasis city through which caravans passed. The Septuagint has the name “Teman,” which was a region associated with Edom. This name occurs nineteen times in the Bible. Some modern versions follow the Septuagint here in reading “Teman” (New English Bible/Revised English Bible), but Critique Textuelle de l’Ancien Testament gives an {A} rating to the Masoretic Text, claiming that the name Tema was changed to the better-known name “Teman.”
