Translation commentary on Acts 7:57

In order to avoid defilement by even hearing the blasphemous things that Stephen was saying, the members of the Jewish Council do two things, they shout and cover their ears. All … together … at once translates the same Greek word as appeared in 1.14; it is translated “as one man” by New American Bible and “like one man” by Moffatt.
