The psalm concludes with a final plea for the LORD’s help. For verse 21a see how the terms are used in 22.1a, and for verse 21b see 22.11a, 19a; 35.22b. For verse 22a see 22.19b; and for 22b see comments on “my salvation” in 27.1. The expression O Lord, my salvation will sometimes require identifying the Lord in terms of the act of saving; for example, “O Lord, you who have saved me” or “O Lord, you are the one who saves me.”
