For the thought Wait for the LORD in line a, see 27.14 and comments. The Good News Translation expression “Put your hope in the LORD” may often be rendered “Look forward with confidence in the LORD.” The injunction keep to his way means to obey the LORD’s will, his commands and instructions on how a person should live.

The thought of line b is the same as verse 9b; here exalt means “he will give you the honor (of possessing the Promised Land).”
