After he is sold: this passive expression may have to be rendered “after someone (or, the rich man) has bought him….” In some languages it may be possible to leave this information implicit.

He may be redeemed: transformed into an active sentence, this will be “a person can buy him back,” or in other languages one may say “it is not forbidden that someone should buy him back.”

One of his brothers: the Hebrew word is to be taken here in the more restricted sense of “son of the same father.” See the above discussion on the right of redemption under verse 25.
