Jesus said this is literally “these things he said”; the obvious antecedent of “he” is Jesus. Since Jesus has not been mentioned by name since verse 53, Good News Translation mentions him explicitly in this concluding verse.

In the synagogue is literally “in synagogue,” but most translations have the definite article “the,” as Good News Translation does. New American Bible has the indefinite article “in a synagogue,” while New English Bible translates literally “in synagogue,” evidently attempting to construct a phrase that sounds like “in church.” Translators frequently employ a transliteration of the term “synagogue.” In some languages a descriptive equivalent is employed, for example, “in houses of worship used by Jews” or “in Jewish buildings for worship.” It is true that synagogues were also used as places for civic gatherings and as schools, but the focus in most New Testament passages is on the synagogue as a place of Jewish worship.
