At the dictation of is literally “from the mouth of.” Good News Translation shifts to a first person reference for Jeremiah, and translates the first part of the verse as follows: “So I called Baruch … and dictated to him.” Translators can also say something such as “… wrote the words Jeremiah spoke.”
All the words of the LORD which he had spoken to him is redundant. Good News Translation has “everything that the LORD had said to me,” and Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch renders “all that he had preached during this entire time in the service of the Lord.” Bible en français courant has “all the messages which he had received from the Lord.”
