The text has they would have proclaimed my words, which Good News Translation more naturally expresses as “they could have proclaimed my message.” Translators can also say something like “what they proclaimed would have been my message.”

They would have turned them from their evil way means “they would have caused them to leave their evil ways” or “… brought them back [to me] from their evil way of life.” Good News Translation translates this clause with the last phrase (from the evil of their doings) as follows: “[they] could have made them give up the evil lives they live and the wicked things they do.” Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch is more concise with “they would have changed their lives and their deeds.”
