I am the LORD is literally “I the LORD.” Revised Standard Version supplies the verb am for naturalness in English. For this whole clause see the comments on verse 11.

Your Holy One is a shortened title of “the Holy One of Israel” in the previous verse. Good News Translation, Contemporary English Version, Bible en français courant, and Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch say “your holy God.”

The Creator of Israel recalls the thought of verses 1 and 7 (see the comments there). Good News Translation uses a verb here, saying “I created you, Israel.” Other languages may find this model helpful since it also uses second person for Israel, whom Yahweh is addressing.

Your King: For comments on Yahweh as the King of Israel, see 41.21. Contemporary English Version combines this title with the previous one, saying “Israel’s Creator and King.” Another possibility is “Israel, I am your Creator and King.”

For the translation of this verse consider the following examples:

• I am Yahweh, your Holy One,
Israel’s Creator and King.”

• Israel, I am the LORD, your Holy One;
I am your Creator and King.”
