Translation commentary on Genesis 19:35

That night also: verse 35a repeats verse 33a. This time the younger arose, and lay with him, where arose, and lay may be considered a single event, that is, “had intercourse with him” (Good News Translation). Again, arose here indicates not getting up from a sitting or lying down position, but that she set out to do the action of the next verb, lay.

And he did not know when … arose repeats from verse 33. In many languages it will be necessary or desirable to include a word such as “again” (Good News Translation, New International Version) in the context of this repetition also.
