Them that marry, like those who will have no children; and them that do not marry, like those who are widowed: The verb phrase let … be is implied in both these sentences. Good News Bible provides a helpful model for this verse. Another possible one, based on Contemporary English Version, is:

• You married couples must not expect to have children, and you unmarried people must live as if you were widows.
