Jehoaddah is called “Jarah” in the parallel genealogy in 1 Chr 9.42. One manuscript of the Septuagint has the name “Iadah” here. The names Jehoaddah and “Jarah” seem to be long and short forms of the same name. New Living Translation reads “Jadah” in both verses. Once again, it will be helpful to inform the reader in one way or another that the same person is intended.
Good News Translation makes explicit the fact that Jehoaddah “was the father of three sons.”
