Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples!: The verb Declare is parallel to “Tell” in the previous verse. The Hebrew verb for Declare has a basic meaning of “to number” or “to count.” The idea here is to list the glorious works and mighty deeds of God publicly. As noted in the previous verse, his glory and his marvelous works are parallel with “his salvation.” Marvelous works translates the same Hebrew term rendered “wonderful works” in verse 9 (see the comments there). The parallel expressions the nations (see verse 20) and all peoples are synonymous and refer to all non-Israelite people. The people of every nation in their own countries are to hear about God’s great deeds. The Hebrew preposition translated among in both lines may also be rendered “to” (Good News Translation).

The Hebrew text does not have a verb in the second line of this verse. Translators may supply a verb or repeat the one used at the beginning of the verse. NET Bible, for example, says “Tell the nations about his splendor, tell all the nations about his miraculous deeds” (similarly New Century Version).
