The Greek in Acts 17:29 that is translated as “the art and imagination of mortals” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) with ein Gespinst der Kunst oder der Phantasie or “a figment of the arts or the imagination.”
