The Greek in Acts 17:18 that is translated as “telling the good news about Jesus and the resurrection” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) with “proclaiming Jesus and Anastasis.” The translators explain (p. 546): “The listeners misunderstand the word Anastasis (‘resurrection’) and assume it to be the name of a female deity.”
