The Greek in Acts 9:22 that is translated as “Saul became increasingly more powerful” or similar in English is translated in the German New Testament translation by Berger / Nord (publ. 1999) with Angesichts solcher Reden wurde Sauls Auftreten umso erfolgreicher or “In view of such speeches, Saul’s appearance became all the more successful.”
