Asia: it will be well to add the word “province” (Good News Bible) in translation to make it clear that Paul does not mean the entire continent that is now called Asia.

Prisca is in the Greek text, as in Rom 16.3 and 2 Tim 4.19. But it is in Acts 18.2, 18, 26 where the diminutive form “Priscilla” is used. It is confusing for modern readers if a translation refers to the same person by two forms of the same name. So translators should choose whichever form is more familiar or more simple in their own language.

Church in their house: as Good News Bible makes clear, the church in the New Testament is people, the Christian community, not the place where they meet.

Hearty or “warm” (Good News Bible) is the word translated “strong” in verse 12.

In the Lord: Good News Bible‘s “Christian” gives the essential meaning, and Bible en français courant makes it more explicit by translating “… in the Lord who unites us.”
