Translation commentary on 2 Chronicles 35:10

When the service had been prepared for: The service refers to the celebration of the Passover. In some languages it may be a good idea to make this explicit in translation (so Good News Translation). The passive verb had been prepared for may be made active by rendering this clause as “When everything was ready for the Passover celebration” (New Living Translation) or “When they [indefinite] had prepared the Passover celebration very well.”

The priests stood in their places, and the Levites in their divisions according to the king’s command: The priests and Levites proceeded to the positions that King Josiah had instructed them to occupy for the festivities. The Hebrew phrase rendered in their divisions probably means “in their places” here. New Century Version renders this clause well with “the priests and Levites went to their places, as the king had commanded.”
