Shelomoth is called “Shelomith” in 1 Chr 23.18. Some versions use the same spelling here in order to avoid confusion for the reader (so Good News Translation, New Living Translation, Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch).

Good News Translation‘s rendering for this verse may be misleading since the focus is changed as in verse 20. A better model is “Among the descendants of Izhar, there was Shelomoth, and among those of Shelomoth, Jahath” (Bible en français courant).
